Do you really know why you do what you do, how you do it & when? Stop & think. Are you doing it because everyone else is doing it? That is not good enough. Are you making your athlete tired & sore or are you making them better? Lest we forget the goal is prepare the athlete to thrive in the competitive arena not chase artificial numbers in the weight room. If you are a "strength" coach remember your job is to serve the sport coach - plain & simple. They are the ones accountable for the athletes performance, not you. Walk in their shoes before you prescribe heavy squats in mid competitive season for a sprinter.
