University of Utah, Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Internship Program

University of Utah Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for our 2017 summer/fall internship program. Program start date is June 4th, 2017 and will conclude on December 9th, 2017. This is an unpaid position. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and implementation of training programs; assisting with and implementation of athlete assessment; assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance; completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Intern qualifications include: punctuality; enthusiasm; strong work ethic; and the ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Interns will receive experience working in a Division I environment and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career employment.
