Strength Performance Network

PSP is currently accepting applications for four VOLUNTEER Strength & Conditioning (S&C) internship positions. The internship is usually 3 months ( usually 360 contact hours).  Interns will gain practical experience working in a in a strength and conditioning enviroment working with youth, Division I athletes, and adult population under the guidance of an approved CSCS mentor.  Minimum requirements include CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; an unwavering work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting.  Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (NSCA, ACSM, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with computer productivity applications.  Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, daily, weekly, and semester long professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the Director of Sports Performance.  Interested candidates must submit:

-Resume (one page maximum)

-Three professional references*

-A video (3:00 maximum) answering:

  • Why you coach? or Why you want to coach?
  • What is your definition/signs of a "Great coach"
  • Define success (personal or Professional)

*Note: Please include Cover letter, resume, and references must be submitted in ONE PDF file (in that order)
