Millsaps College’s Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 2 Strength and Conditioning Intern Coaches for the Fall Semester of 2017. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Candidates will have the opportunity to program, implement, and supervise a strength and conditioning program for some assigned sports. HOUSING AND SOME MEALS may be provided. No monetary compensation will be provided.
Ideal candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for an undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Inquiries must be received by July 31st.
