Strength Performance Network

The University of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern. The Summer-Fall internship will run from June-December 2017.  Duties include assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of the UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warmups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessments.  Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or a degree in progress in an exercise science related field, CPR and First Aid certification and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning.  Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCS or CSCCA certification is preferred.  A minimum time commitment of 30 hours per week is required. These positions are for volunteer coaches and no compensation will be provided. Screening of applications has begun and will continue until all positions are filled.
