I understand your sentiments and applaud your efforts. However, I have done similar only to find that it does not transfer well... At this point I am only interested in a S & C position

I am looking to take a position with student recreation/fitness at Mizzou within the next couple of weeks to at least become involved with a D1 college for a few years. Its better then not working in a college setting at all. Better yet it deals with many issues related to s&c as well like facility, large numbers of students, equipement, supervision, budgets etc. Good transfer to a job down the road in formal strength and conditioning. My certs and degrees are all geared at s&c and yet I am taking a career not directly in that area for now. But it will help me get there at some point. Consider starting off in something close before trying to do battle with the powers that be in the s&c field.

yes, indeed. its all about who you know.....credentials/experience seem to make little or no difference

I would say off of pure numbers yes, but we all know how the strength and conditioning business goes..

Hello coaches! I am currently looking for a graduate position and was wondering if anyone knew of anything opening up in the fall. I am currently doing my internship at Wake Forest University under Coach Ethan Reeve and will be graduating from Kennesaw State University in May with a degree in Exercise and Health Science and a cumulative GPA of 3.57. Location is not an issue because I am willing to relocate anywhere. I am sitting for the SCCC exam in May and the CSCS hopefully sometime later in the summer. I have a resume ready to go if anyone would like to take a look at it. Thank you for helping me out!

I recently relocated to Halifax Nova Scotia from Boston and will begin the job hunting process in a couple of months (once my immigration paperwork is final). I have been a strength and conditioning coach for the past 5 years in both the collegiate and private settings and would like to continue to work in the field. If there is anyone who can give me some advice on where I could begin my search, I would appreciate the help, so far all I am turning up are commercial fitness centers. Thanks

Hello Coaches:
I'm up in Ontario Canada, I am looking to continue to grow in the S&C field. Are there any members on the network from Ontario looking for a Strength/Performance Coach?
