My days start with dawn and usually end with night,
Four in the morning is rough but I win that fight.
Because when I open that door and flip that switch,
The lights come on and I realize I’m rich.
I think, “I’m a D I Strength Coach, this can’t be real.”
Doing the one thing I love just seems so surreal.
But I realize it’s no dream when my boss walks through,
Coach Feit is his name and he’s as ill as the flu.
I’m quickly alerted as soon as it’s said,
“Good morning coach Blair, is the Fred Factor read?.”
Reading is key, must continually go on,
Coaching, strengthcoach.com, and the morning is gone.
We're constantly searching for ways to progress,
Knowledge is power and leads to success.
So I open my eyes and learn from the best,
From the coaches around me and the time they invest.
EMU is new but I’m learning a lot.
I was nervous at first, like a max effort squat.
But I love these teams, their energy, their fight,
No need for coffee, coaching is enough to get me right!
My night concludes with dinner and a shower,
I made it another day because of Eagle Power.
Through all labor there is a profit to be made,
I Thank God I’m a coach and everyday I GET PAID!
“I just got one last thing, I urge all of you, all of you, to enjoy your life, the precious moments you have. To spend each day with some laughter and some thought, to get you're emotions going. To be enthusiastic every day and as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Nothing great could be accomplished without enthusiasm," to keep your dreams alive in spite of problems you have. The ability to be able to work hard for your dreams to come true, to become a reality.” – Jimmy Valvano (1946-1993)
