Interview with strength and conditioning expert Ralph Cornwell

Ralph is currently a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech University, where he is conducting research on the effects of neck strengthening protocols on the reduction of traumatic head and neck injuries in sports (that’s not the official title of his research, which I’m sure sounds much better than what I just said-but you get the idea).

Obviously, serious head injuries are a huge problem in sports, and the problem is finally getting a lot of attention. Even The U.S. Congress is now getting…

Metabolic Training

Decided to try a Mike Bradley (Florida State) metabolic workout tonight, just for the fun of it. Yeah, great idea Dave. By the end of the workout my face was numb, the back of my neck was throbbing,

and walking down the stairs to leave the gym was like trying to play

pool with a rope. Ha ha, very funny Mike.

To learn how to improve your conditioning without jumping, balancing, or throwing

anything-and about 50 other things that will help your…

Coach Durell how are you doing today? It's allways good to run into High Intensity Minds... seems like we are few and far between but we have to try and stick together and hold up the great foundation of Arthur Jones and Mike Menzer. It would be great to talk with you more and pick your brain on somethings you are doing in your training and how you are working your program.
