I agree, Christian is definitely a freak. There is video out there of him chasing down a RB that had a 15 yard head start on him from straight behind, no angle at all. When he came to me he was 6'4"/274 and ran a 4.88, by the time we were done he checked in at 6'4"/272 and was clocked at 4.57 by his LFSHS coaches, I believe he ran a 4.69 at one of the summer Combines that year as well. I know Coach Doyle expects him to be chosen sometime in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Eric, good to see you on SPN. It's nice to see an athlete with a vested interest in the why's behind their strength training. How is spring ball going? How has Christian Ballard looked lately? I was his Sports Performance Coach for his senior year.
Yup, I agree, best way to train is to improve for overall athleticism. . .I'm from Cali, and one of my good friends out here is originally from Iowa and a huge hawkeye fan. He is trying to convince me to go out there next fall to watch a game, but i'm not a big fan of the ridiculously cold weather you have out there.
