Hello All,
I am currently working as a Personal Trainer/Performance Coach at X3 Sports, a local MMA/Kickboxing/Fitness center but I am looking to get back into the Strength and Conditioning industry. My initial goals were to become a Collegiate or Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach but I received an opportunity to train some athletes and general population in the private sector so I took a chance at it. I have been getting the itch to get back into the college setting and take the necessary become a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach on either the collegiate or professional level. I have a true passion for the industry and I am willing to do what it takes to build myself to the top.
My background includes a degree in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University. I hold a certification through NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and National Association of Speed and Explosion. I plan to continue my education with NASM-PES, USAW and SCCC qualifications in the very near future. Under the supervision of Tom Melton, I worked as a volunteer and intern with Georgia Southern Strength and Conditioning. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Athletic Coaching from Northcentral University.
I believe my experience as in Strength and Conditioning, education in Exercise Science, and willingness to learn and be the best at anything that I do makes me the perfect candidate for any opening for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
I look forward to speaking with anyone with an opening. Thank you for your time.
Jay Jones, CSCS
