I help assist and implement programs for W. Field Hockey, Track and Field, Swimming and Diving, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, W. Soccer, and M. & W. Tennis. I implement both the weights and conditioning sessions along with the other strength staff. I have the opportunity to run warm-up and the lift after that for Lacrosse and Swimming and Diving. There are programming opportunities for circuits and other lifts for players who come in for extra sessions. We all meet weekly for re-education from podcasts, articles, exercise demonstrations... etc.
Past Job Experience
I have completed three unpaid internships for University of Connecticut, Buffalo State College, and Yale University. All three included working with all the teams that came in during their lifting sessions. I was responsible for correcting lift technique for several exercises. I completed an internship curriculum that included programming and assignments from exercise technique to programming to re-education opportunities (podcasts, articles...etc).
I graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in December 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.
