Internship Program
Montana State University offers a strength and conditioning internship to students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of strength and conditioning. We are currently offering semester long internship programs to undergraduate students, and graduate students who are serious about pursuing a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. All internships are currently on a volunteer basis only, no benefits or compensation is provided.
Student interns are required to partake in a comprehensive curriculum that consists of weekly videos, books, articles and meetings with the strength and conditioning staff. Student interns are also expected to complete a major project that is presented to the strength and conditioning staff during the final week of the internship.
Student interns will serve as part of the strength and conditioning staff. Also, student interns will report directly to the head assistant strength and conditioning coach. Interns will be expected to complete any tasks or duties including, but not limited to: data management, weight room and equipment maintenance, supplement distribution and other tasks assigned to them by the strength and conditioning staff.
This internship is a very demanding internship that is designed to prepare student interns for the next level of their profession as graduate assistants who will be responsible for design and implementation programs.
