Fair Labor Standards Act and its effect on strength coaches

Fellow strength coaches, 

Undoubtedly everyone has heard about the FLSA and it's potential impact on athletic departments nationwide.  For those that aren't brought up to speed here's a quick synopsis.  The federal government has passed legislation that all employees must earn a minimum salary of roughly $47,000 (was previously $22,000), or they must be paid overtime.  The debate has been over what will higher education institutions do since many of the employees may fall under this…
