On Mental Toughness

Think Fast

Speed is without a doubt one of the most desireable qualities of a successful athlete. So much so that strength coaches constantly look for any little way to help their athletes gain more ground in less time (myself included).



However, this physical quality is useless unless the athlete can also think fast as well.

Beyond the Weight Room

I met with a few high school athletes this week regarding either their performance or a lingering injury. Looking back on those meetings, there was a common thread among them. Each of their coaches and trainers had suggested different exercises and stretches for them to do. However, none of them did!
