Eastern Michigan: Eastern Michigan University Sports Performance is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Winter 2015 semester. The internship will begin Monday January 5th- Monday April 20th 2015. This is an unpaid internship, however this is a great opportunity to gain experience. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Eastern Michigan University’s 21 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties. You will have educational opportunities through Coach Ron Mckeefery’s internship curriculum. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. One year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred. Compensation: Thi s is a non-paid position, but offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program.
