Absolutely, i would just prefer to tell people to cut carbs instead of calories for body composition and hormone balancing. Thanks good luck to you as well!

That's fine. It's hard to explain without going into a huge explanation but carbs are the most important component to losing fat, muscle growth, and performance. Carbs are actually protein sparing foods. The is some great explanation of how the body actually uses micro and macro nutrients. Before I could have you understand the whole thing you have to study up on that. But good luck with your goals. Stay healthy.

Cutting carbs sounds simple enough to me, as those are why we get fat.

Don't get me wrong I think everyone should eat as healthy as possible for health. Do you agree if someone eats 5000 calories that you would need to burn 5000 plus calories? I think many need to look at what a Kcal really is. And keep it as what it is.
By the way what do you do to burn 5000 plus calories to lose weight?

You are correct in everything you say but you leave facts out as well. You can eat anything you want and if you burn more than you eat you will lose weight. What tends to happen with people that eat healthier fats, etc is that you feel good and do higher levels of workouts or activities. Most of those people have active personalities. For example like to hike mountains. People that eat the unhealthy fats say Mcdonalds fries tend to walk a lap around the block and percieve that a mountain climbing.
It all comes down to the Law of Thermodynamics. This law doesn't sell books and simplifies this too much for diet or exercise programs. In a perfect world eating specific foods will give ultimate health and calorie control in and calorie burning will determine fat loss. So everyone is different. But the fact is you can not lose love handles by eating a type of food or exercise. And if you look at the actual studies that show hormone response and calorie burning you will see the significance factor is really low when compared to 3500 to burn one pound of fat. And then factor of the amount of fat that is dispersed all over the body.
All in all calories in to cslories out determines fat loss, hormones determin mood and decisions more than anything, and keep things as simple as science makes it. Simplicity is the key in general not complexity.

I can eat 5000 calories a day of healthy fats, lean animal protein and lose fat

Reducing calories will help you lose weight. However, weight loss isnt correlated with fat loss. If you want to lose fat, change what youre eating, its the hormonal aspect of foods that dictates fat loss.

Unfortunately this is an example of why people are so mislead. I haven't read the literature on bio signature but it gives the impression that areas of body fat can lost where you want it to be lost in certain areas. This is called lipo. Or it is the development of lean mass and overall fat loss and giving the illusion of more fat lost in certain areas than before because that person never gained muscle in those areas. But the fact is if you want to lose the belly or what ever area what has to be done is continually and consistently lose fat by being at a caloric deficit consistently. Eventually leaness will happen.

1) Charles Poliquin has an entire system based on spot-reducing body fat called biosignature.
