Abdominal roll outs should be considered a medium to advanced exercises.
After the necessary flexibility is developed (see the previous blog post), the bird dog and plank type of exercises can be used to prepare beginning athlete and client for roll outs.
I recommend French Press Diaphragmatic Breathing during exercises with any type of Abdominal Wheel (A Course In Breathing).
