Kent State University is looking for Sports Performance internship candidates for the Fall Semester (September – December 2017). Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of training sessions, daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment, assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions, and participation in a structured internship program, which includes required weekly meetings and projects. Candidates should be working towards completion of a bachelor’s/master’s degree in exercise science or related field. Applicants should be pursuing strength and conditioning as a profession and possess, or currently be working on, CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW certification. Internship candidates must be earning class credit for their participation. This is an UNPAID position, no monetary compensation, housing or meals are provided. However, potential mentorship opportunity to obtain the CSCCa, SCCC certification will be available for some candidates.
