The University of Memphis: The Football Strength and Conditioning Department is searching for hard-working candidates for a Spring Internship opportunity working primarily with football. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assist Football Strength and Conditioning Staff in all facets of implementation of training programs, aid in the instruction of safe and proper weight training techniques, and assist in the regular maintenance and upkeep of the facility. This is an unpaid position (IF THIS IS NOT AN ECONOMICALLY VIABLE OPTION FOR YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY) in which the potential candidate(s) may receive class credit if applicable and will gain valuable collegiate level work experience and exposure through various training modalities centered around vertical integration, Bod Pod assessment, Polar Team2 Heart Rate System usage, orthopedic assessment, nutrition insight, and sport massage. Individuals pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in exercise science, athletic training or a related field as well as working towards a certification with the NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa and possess CPR/AED First Aid Certification send a resume and three (3) references to Brian Hill at dbhill@memphis.edu.
