The Weber State University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a temporary (10 month appointment) part-time position for a with the opportunity to renew. The intended start date is August 1, 2017. The position is subject to a university background check.
Responsibilities: Assisting in all aspects of the daily operation of the Weber State University Strength and Conditioning department, as well as working with 2 teams as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field from an accredited university, CSCS or SCCC certification, 1-2 years strength and conditioning experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with soccer, softball and women’s basketball.
Preferred Requirements: A master’s degree in a related field, successful completion of internships and a graduate assistantship. CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills; demonstrated ability to manage and supervise team training sessions and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the strength and conditioning facilities.
