Richard, we actually do it both ways, with a vest and with extremities loaded. I like the variety of the different loads.

Coach, why load the exercise at the extremeties and not the trunk(i.e. weight vest). ?

in the video the players are jumping on a 1" thick rubber floor on top of Mondo rubber. I recommend at least a 5/8" thick rubber floor or field turf. We do these on the basketball floor also, just unweighted.

I love this exercise and am actually going to use the unweighted version with my Basketball guys... do you use any particular surface or normal weightroom rubber?
