Lobe was part of 18 conference championships and worked with more than 75 All-Americans. He also helped build the foundation which led to Minnesota State's 2009 NCAA women's basketball championship.

Prior to Minnesota State, Lobe spent six years in various strength and conditioning programs with the University of Minnesota athletic program. Lobe began working with Minnesota student-athletes as an intern in 1998 before becoming a graduate assistant in 2002 and full-time assistant in 2003. Lobe helped train eight NCAA championship teams, 19 individual NCAA champion athletes, 12 Big Ten Conference champions and more than 120 All-Americans in a variety of sports at Minnesota.
