I agree with you Eric but we are always trying to improve technique . That is to a functional level. we are more interested in the training effect, I have done just about every kind of lifting there is im my 30 years of lifting and realize technique allows you to lift more, but I am more interested in grip and rip development of brute force. Too many times at olympic meets i have see lifters be critical of a lifters rough technique when they were much weaker than the lifter. almost to the point of berating, I would much rather have an athlete perform strongman like movements with a heavy weight than spend countless hours to perfect movements with an unproductive weight. we spend more time techniuqe wise on athletes if their chosen sport is olympic or powerlifting otherwise we just use each exercise as a tool. maybe we can discuss this further in the future Thanks Eric for the comment

Cool gym, looks like you have a lot of cool equipment. But, the actual coaching of technique would help this kid improve on his lifting so much more.
