I get asked all the time about lifting weights and I tell people I have not lifted any in 6 years. Well that's not true- I lift my bodyweight using the EQUALIZER.
I have in the past done "traditional" weight lfting but find bodyweight training to be more efficient, tons of core and very effective.
Just look at the upper body of a gymnast! Need I say more?
i know I am going to get "tonnes" of comments about the weight lifted. YES, the pull-ups are not full bodyweight so I took some liberties there. Here's the breakdown;
1. Equalizer Pull-ups- 50 X 215 lbs (my bodyweight)= 10,750 lbs
2. Equalizer push-ups with stability ball- 25 X 215 lbs= 5,375 lbs
3. Dips with leg raise- 10 X 215 lbs= 2,150 lbs
4. Equalizer Pull-ups (again)- 50 X 215 lbs (my bodyweight)= 10,750 lbs
TOTAL: 29,025 lbs or 14.5 Tonnes!
I guess my point is to show people that lifting bodyweight is STILL lifting! And has helped shape some of the best athletes, bodybuilders around! I like ALL forms of lifting but really enjoy being able to move my body.
Have fun!
