Greg, someone is bound to say, "Why is everyone so negative?" "If you can't say anything nice, don't say it." I say, "If you are going to post a video on the web, you are open to critique." and "What is this site for, if not to discuss?"
That being said, I think she is concentrating too much on jumping vs. moving the bar. I try to get my athletes to NOT get so much air and NOT stomp on the platform. They are both counterproductive to moving the bar.
Also, MBSC is one of the best out there, so this goes to show that no matter who posts a video, there is bound to be technical flaws. There is NEVER a one-to-one coach to athlete ratio, but even if there was a coach telling her to extend her hips and stop jumping every single rep, she might still do it. At the end of the day, what she is doing is safe and effective.
Notice, Mike Boyle teaches a clean grip snatch. His argument is the only reason to take a wide grip is to do more weight. Personally, I like to see some weight moving, so we'll stick with a snatch grip.
