JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Behrend is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive strength program focused on performance enhancement and injury prevention for our student athletes. This position will serve as an expert and educational resource for matters related to strength training and conditioning for all athletic programs offered at Penn State Behrend, and will assist in the analysis and review of performance enhancement opportunities to lead the field in the delivery of those skills. The Strength and Conditioning coach will support on-campus recruitment of prospective student-athletes (in accordance with NCAA rules), and will contribute to the development of an environment for student athletes that is healthy, safe, equitable, and culturally diverse. This position will be responsible for maintaining compliance with University, Conference, and governmental/regulatory agency rules and regulations for all existing policies and procedures, and will ensure the safe and appropriate use of all equipment with established guidelines while also ensuring inspections and safety of the facility and equipment. This is an 83.3% full-time equivalency (FTE) job. Will work 10 months per year with the months of June and July off. Full Penn State benefits included.
