    GRIT gym

    Job Title

    Performance Coach

    Current Job Description

Youth sports performance coaching. I work w/ kids on movement patterns, strength and conditioning in a way where the goal is actually not to make them aware of their faults to improve (I actually don't want them to know anything about how they in particular may or may not run or move) but to build their strength levels in the correct ways to improve their efficiency, speed and agility, as well as making it extremely challenging. Therefore leading to greater confidence in themselves and a strong work ethic to build from.

    Past Job Experience

Adam Rees is Founder of GRIT GYM, a gym based on results, w/ the goal of creating a culture and lifestyle of performance, strength, health and freedom to live life on your own terms. Adam attended Wartburg College, worked under nationally recognized Strength Coach Matt McGettigan at ISU and is generally a whore to information and improvement in all forms. Feel free to email w/ questions, criticism, skepticism and w/e else you deem necessary to adam@gritgym.com and/or visit the blog at AdamRees.blogspot.com

    Education

Wartburg College I do not believe that continuation of education is centered around a university or that is signified by a degree, certification or any other piece of paper. Sure I have them, but they do not mean much to me. You show up, you work hard, you study your ass off and you learn from your experiences. This will go and take you much further than any course you ever take. Why do you think internships are more valuable than coursework. They begin your network into a new career, and you learn from someone w/ much more experience than yourself.
