looks like we are going for the same kind of job, I would also like to work with collegiate athletes. As for working with NFL players, they are amazing athletes who will run through walls if you tell them to! They seem to be pretty diverse when it comes to their attitudes and who they will allow to train them. My advice to you would be to keep your legs strong because if we want to have any chance on being able to hold a running harness we have to be strong! It sure was fun trying to hold back a starting lineman.
At the present time we do not have any Graduate Assistant positions available within our department. Our positions are not set to open until the fall semester of 2010.
I wish that we could help you out here at UIC, but at the moment we aren't offering a grad assistantship and our intern spots are full for the summer.
Are you from the Chicago area? Looking at staying in the area?
Have you been in touch with DePaul, Loyola, or Northwestern?
Let me know. I have contacts at each of these schools.
Best-
Matt
