I read your profile and I think you are on the right track, the CSCS is important but there is alot of aspects of the field you will never learn from a book. You have to volunteer your time and meet as many contacts as you can, attend conferences, start a blog anything to get your name out there. I spent the last year working with Coach Taylor at Loyola University and I worked full time with him during the day and had a night job. There was some long days but I learned so much and made so many contacts that I felt like I should of paid him just to be there. From there I decided to start my business and go the private sector route but I will still work at Loyola part time next year. If you have anymore questions feel free to write I love talking shop.

Robert Beers is a good friend of mine. Good to hear that you are going into this profession. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. My recommendation for you right now is to try and find a internship opportunity in the Northwest that would allow you to get some Div 1 strength and condtioning experience. Good luck!

      Daniel,

I saw your post on the job network. A couple great sites to look at that post positions are the NCAA career center, www.footballscoop.com, and the CSCCA website if you go to the career center..
