      Patrick,
Great to connect. Glad to hear you have chosen to go into this field. It is a great field. To move on in the profession continue to work hard on the following:
      1. Become credible - Degrees and Certs
      2. Gain a ton of Practical Experience - Volunteer
      3. Network - Clinics, Site Visits, Phone Calls, Emails, etc.
      4. Be yourself and work hard.

When you get a chance check out www.strengthcoachbasictraining.com. It is a product I developed for aspiring strength coaches. Good luck!

    Past Job Experience

My education and experiences in athletics and strength training have provided me with knowledge and an understanding of the importance of what precautions need to be taken to achieve maximum performance enhancement. The track & field experiences and strength training experiences have taught me how athletes in general should perform at the collegiate level and what needs to be done to achieve top performance. The same knowledge that I attained while in athletics largely applies to strength training. Strength and conditioning plays a huge role in athletic performance. An athlete can only go so far with their talent, and I found out how much of an advantage strength and conditioning does for an athlete and their performance. To be in college athletics you need to have strong motivation, strong work ethic, dedication and discipline for the team and self. In my profession and athletic life, it is my dedication and strong desire to emphasize each and every one of these aspects. - Internship - University of Kansas Jayhawks Athletics Strength & Conditioning - Internship - University of Minnesota Athletics Strength & Conditioning - Internship - Minnesota State University - Mankato Athletics Strength & Conditioning - Coaching - 60meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash sprinter; 4x200meter relay and 4x400meter relay sprinter, high jumper, and long jumper.
