No problem! This is my first year, awesome organization and staff.

    • Ryan Carroll April 24, 2012 at 2:14pm

Hey thanks for the post, I love it, great organization.  Where are you at this year?

    • Matt Parvis April 19, 2012 at 10:55pm

There are some huge differences.  This will be only the second year that the Braves had a strength coach at every level.  We have brought in some great strength coaches this year and we are making a huge difference in performance.  Pittsburgh had an established program at every level while I was there so the difference is like night and day.

      Coach Rojas,

When did you land the Minor League position?

    • Bob Alejo January 20, 2011 at 12:57am
Keep your ears open, I usually am speaking somewhere. Davis Koh;s place is one and just got back from the NSCA speaking in Dallas. You are welcome to come by any time. If you are not getting a response from teams, you tell me who they are and I will take care of ti. As for Jordan Franey, she and others like her was what made my time at UCSB special. So when you tell her that and she smiles know that I feel the same way about my time with her.Good luck and give her my best.

Who is the GA? Thanks for the  good words. Returning to the profesional world has the plusses and minuses. In the end returning to the A's and the financial aspect of it- could not turn it down. Loved UCSB. I have been coaching a long time and have done a few things but in nearly 30 years my time there was the most rewarding of my career. If I can ever be of help to you, let me know .

      Sergio,

Thanks for the kind words.  Currently, we work with about 15 out of the 23 sports here.  I do not have any paid positions, but I am fortunate to have about 12 interns (some graduate assistants) and about 24 Denison student interns.  We are trying really hard to run a DI program with DIII resources.  Thanks again and keep in touch.

      Always,

      MJW

We're managing well here, but it'll be much more efficient and fluid with more space and legit equipment. Check out mobilitywod.blogspot.com for some great mobility exercises. We've been using it with our athletes since September and its phenomenal! Kelly is amazing and knows his stuff.

Sergio, I am not coaching at Mnroe anymore I am back in Iowa now and will start coaching again this spring/summer. I have some family stuff I am focusing on now, but am definetly looking forward to continuingin this field. In the meantime I am spendinga good amount of time developing my policies/procedures, writing programs, reading etc. Are you going to do another internship this summer?
