in terms of preparation & the exam, its probably not as intense as the CSCS - although i did it as continuing education because i already have my personal training certification through NASM. i recommend them so highly because A) anywhere you look, NASM and the NSCA are the two highest certifications you can have & people place a lot of value on them and B) i just feel like i have a great handle on program design variables both for general populations, special populations & athletes. it would probably be worth your while to look into it because they place a lot of emphasis on dynamic functional training, stabilization & posture - things that are overlooked and need special emphasis. i've had a lot of success with it in the short time i've had it, so hopefully you find the same :)
Great to hear from ya! I actually just saw that study yesterday. I am working on a comment editorial on that study that I hope to post in a few days on my site. I will let you know when I do!
Regarding your equipment, what kind of budget do you have to work with?
