There has been much talk of why Strength Coaches are still using ladders; however I believe they are still great for footwork, coordination, quickness and other factors. Performing ladder work on the hill forces the athlete to stabilize the core muscles, while working on balance, foot placement, agility, quickness, etc. Therefore, performing this exercise on the hill promotes power and muscle elasticity, improves stride frequency and length, develops coordination, develops max speed and strength as well as other factors.
