Our goal was to open up the hips (as a corrective) while working on explosiveness. With the reverse lunge, I wanted it done quick to exploit the glutes more and the quads, which provided a more challenge when the athlete had to load to do the box jump. Athlete was a little fatigued, hips should have been lower to exploit the stretch-reflex and get a 20% more powerful explosion! However, he did awesome
